Hartley takes top prizes at Bracklesham Bay

This year 49 Hartley players went to Bracklesham for the usual start to the Hartley petanque season. Together with a hundred others, the numbers were down on previous years but the competition was just as good.
The theme for our club was pop groups (many of whom are older than the Hartley players) including The Beatles, Bread and the Kinks.
On Saturday, the main event, Hartley teams took first, second, fourth and fifth places. The results, were :

The teams shared prizes from £90 down to £30.
On Sunday we were all "Arnolds" and, apart from one or two absentees (you know who you are) again Hartley turned out 16 teams and again took top honours.
