Hartley Open Mixed Doubles results

An excellent turnout of 26 teams turned up on a crisp but beautiful Sunday at Hartley Country Club (to see how sunny it was, look at the photo by clicking below). Teams came from Hartley, George (Meopham), Gravesend, Adur (Lancing), Croydon, Bury St Edmunds, Harrow, Worthing, Oxshott, Seal and Baldock. As the weather was fantastic we were able to put on an all day BBQ. The competition was run as 5 leagues of 4 and 1 of 6 in the morning session with 16 going though to the main and the remaining 10 into a plate competition.
The main final was between Alan and Jeni Rush from Hartley playing Tom Hutchins and Sarah Huntley from Chiltern region. After a great game, Hartley won. The other semi finalists were Pen-Y-Coed (Phil Boarder and Marion Halsey) & Lost Soles from Adur (Kim & Dean ?).
The plate was an all Hartley final between Jean-Louis Guiot & Mags Yates against Ken & Barbara Potter, the game went to 12 with Ken and Barbara the final winners.
