Kent Regional Triples

Lordswood - 3 September 2006

Only 10 teams turned up for the Regional Triples. Only 14 of the top 48 players attended in a range of ad-hoc arrangements and only one complete team!

The standard of play throughout was nonetheless excellent and all games were fiercely contested and many took over an hour to complete. Unbelievably, Jean-Louis Guiot, Mick Nash and Colin Senneck were the only team not to win a game in the morning, which meant they contested the plate final in which they beat Bat & Ball (Jes Paine, Alex James and Mick Lawrence) 13-4. This game alone contained 5 of the 14 County players.

In the Main Semi Finals Rejects (Matt Horrigan, Bruno Bove and Dave Chalkly) beat the Crown (Andy Mills, Alex Mills and Paul Chapman) and George (Richard King, Matt Shrimpton and Neil Phillips) beat NAF Skills (Chris Smith, Geoff Booth and Rob Booth) in another very long and very close game. The Rejects went on to beat the George to become the 2006 Kent County Triples Champions.
