Competitions

During the summer we enter 7 teams in the Kent P�tanque League (KPL). League games are played on Wednesday evenings.

In the winter we enter 4 teams in the Maidstone and District Winter League. Again matches are played on Wednesday evenings.

We regularly host Regional competitions on behalf of the BPA South East Region and we ourselves run open competitions for Triples, Doubles and Mixed Doubles each year.

Section competitions restricted to our own members for singles, doubles and triples are organised summer and winter and trophies are presented at the Annual Dinner.

4-Boule

An interesting variant competition for Hartley members only: 4-Boule Singles. This is played in a box league system.

Friendly Play

The Section is �twinned� with the French club at Cauchy de la Tour in Northern France and reciprocal visits take place on a bi-annual basis. We also join with Seal P�tanque club to visit and play against the Schorpienne p�tanque club in Ghent.

Section sessions

In the summer on Tuesday evenings and in the winter on Sunday mornings �club� sessions take place for friendly play between section members and guests. We are always happy to accept new members and welcome any HCC members who would like to try the game at these �club� sessions.

Social

The p�tanque section is not just about playing p�tanque. In addition there is a thriving calendar of social activities which are very popular and well supported by the members.
